Grandpa decides to give the family their inheritance early and presents them with fifty dollars each. Lisa decides to give hers to charity and is surprised to discover that Nelson is one of the people asking for help to get out of poverty. She donates to him and he begins a bicycle business. Marge wants to buy a nice handbag with her money but discovers too late that it is worth five hundred rather than fifty dollars. She manages to return it for a full refund but the lesson is lost on Homer who begins buying and returning huge numbers of items.

Lisa worries that she doesn't have enough extra-curricular activities to one day attend an Ivy League College. So she becomes the coach of Bart's little league baseball team. She uses sabermetrics to determine how everyone should play and they promptly start to win all their games. Bart resents the absence of fun in their play anymore and disobeys her. She kicks him off the team but eventually has to call him back.

Bart takes him in but the town agree that they should all be allowed to take revenge upon him. The town share out their time with him and Lisa uses her time to take him to his house. Once there he regains his memory and concludes that his hatred has kept him alive.

Homer not only gains Tony's trust but also develops genuine affection for him. When the FBI come to arrest Tony he has a heart attack and dies. Soon his brother fit Tony comes to take revenge on Homer.

Homer decides to use the essence of the flowers on Grandpa and he immediately becomes happy and joyful. A scientist named Walter Hottenhoffer offers to synthesise more of the drug but warns the Simpsons not to give the drug to anyone else until it has been thoroughly tested. Bart of course sells it on to the elderly of Springfield and soon Grandpa's eye balls pop out.

Marge discovers that the Crazy Cat Lady is a hoarder and decides to help clear her house.

Bart tries to bust her out but she ends up falling into Ned Flanders' arms and they begin dating. Ned even convinces Homer that it is a good idea but then he learns of Edna's colourful past. The episode ends with Homer and Marge asking the audience to vote on whether they should become a couple.
