Comic Book Guy insists on casting the lead and of course chooses Homer. Trainer to the stars Lyle McCarthy gets him fit but soon leaves him for other projects and Homer becomes too large to successfully complete the movie.

The first parody is an Alfred Hitchcock pastiche where Lisa and Bart agree to take revenge on each others teachers to avoid suspicion. The second is a zombie movie parody where the Simpsons discover only Bart is immune to a new virus which has turned the population of Springfield into “munchers.” Finally we have a Sweeny Todd parody set as an actual musical at Moe’s tavern. Moe uses Homer’s blood to spice up some beer and convince Marge to fall in love with him.

Meanwhile she almost kisses Ned Flanders while missing him.

They curse the town to go blind and half the town does. But it turns out to be the result of moonshine reaching the town’s reservoir.

Meanwhile Lisa finds collecting Olympic pin badges very addictive.

Bart tries to stop his parents finding out about all his incomplete homework. When they do Homer thinks he should be studying non-stop while Marge thinks his workload is too heavy. He decides to exploit these differences to cause problems in their marriage. To get past the arguments Homer and Marge decide to ignore Bart and focus on their own relationship. Bart's pranks no longer thrill him now that he can't get his parents attention. So he decides to use the old Springfield subway to destabilise the Elementary School's foundations. He leave his parents a fake note from Lisa so that they can find and punish him.

When the grade turns out to be an error she goes back to being disliked. She feels very discouraged and posts her feelings on a gardening website. Michelle Obama soon appears to encourage her.

Once installed Ned Flanders ends up operating them and nagging everyone to distraction. Bart finds a blind spot in his garden and begins renting out to the townsfolk so that they can sin outside of the cameras view. Meanwhile Lisa discovers that being blonde means people take her debating skills less seriously.
