Episode 6 - TOW The Yeti

29 March 2012

Synopsis: Phoebe receives a mink coat from a relative, Rachel gets to know her new neighbour Danny and Ross and Emily agree to get divorced.

The Good: I didn’t like that Phoebe would sell out her morals for a fur coat but the final scene was what it should have been. Ross’ attempts to make his marriage work are sad and it is good to see the Emily story ended. The Danny as a yeti story is a unique way to introduce a new character and he does have an amusing way about him. Joey is very sweet as he tries to restrain himself from telling Ross not to give in to Emily’s demands.

The Bad: This is not a great show by any means. The jokes are hit and miss. The Emily story isn’t the tragic end to a great tale, it’s the end of a struggling story that you knew would end like this the minute Ross said the wrong name. Phoebe selling out her principles will only get worse from here.

Best Line: (M) “God I feel so guilty about Ross.”
(J) “I kind of feel like it’s my fault.”
(C) “Kind of? If you’d just kept this to yourself, none of this would have happened.”
(J) “Well I’m keeping so many things to myself these days; something was bound to slip out!”
(C) “Well I think it was very brave what you said.”

Best Friend: Joey
