Episode 14 - TOW The Prom Video

10 January 2015

Synopsis: Joey buys Chandler an expensive bracelet. Monica needs to borrow money from her parents and Ross is still trying to convince Rachel to go out with him.

The Good: This episode is one of the best conclusions to a “will they or won’t they” love story you are likely to see. The Prom video is a very creative idea. As a plot device it is not only touching but funny as well. The characters sparkle throughout this episode. Ross and Rachel seem to fit as a couple, a credit to their sympathetic, likeable performances. Chandler again lights up the show with his energy and Joey feels like a real person. Monica too, seems real; she is a normal woman struggling with money problems and seeing her as a fat teenager is not a cheap joke but adds an important layer to her character. The Gellar’s’ parents are again excellent in their roles.

The Bad: Nothing really, I suppose for it to be one of the greatest sit com episodes ever, it would need to have more belly laugh moments.

Best Line: (J) “Some girl ate Monica.”
(M) “Shut up, the camera adds ten pounds.”
(C) “Huh, so how many cameras are actually on you?”

Best Friend: Chandler

  • The acting was very well-done! The best moment was easily the kiss between Ross/Rachel. It was beautiful watching that scene!
